My name is Phyllis Blaha.  I was a teacher of emotionally disturbed children for over 25 years.  I am now retired and live on a small farm in the mountains of NE Alabama, an hour south of Huntsville.  When not engaged in my many home improvement projects or gardening, I can spend a large part of my day with the Coton de Tulear and provide the care and attention they deserve.

I have been an breeder for over 13 years.  I have enjoyed the companionship of the Cotons, their unique personalities, the challenge of training and of exhibiting at dog shows.  I started out breeding and showing Springer Spaniels.  I felt that breed needed more work than I was ready for as far as health and how refined they had become.  I did, however, feel that I would be willing to devote myself to a breed that was in a better state and that a rare breed would be the way to go.  The result was that I purchased my first Coton in 1993.  Since then I have found myself completely enamored of these little dogs and would like to share my reasons with you.  Please look over the following pages, (occasionally updated), and see why the Coton is such an enchanting breed.

*Please note, I am on hiatus from breeding.  However, Kate Gillespie in Washington

State has six puppies ready to go; show and pet.  They are very pretty and well socialized.  To contact her, call (509) 397-2710.

I have no puppies or dogs available at this time.

For information on the Coton, please feel free to browse.
